Seems I should do something to celebrate my 500th post, actually, I thought I had already past the milestone until I went back and deleted all the drafts I never posted! Celebration time will have to wait until my 2nd Blogoversary in November, because off the top of my head, I’ve got nothing!
I did find a new Wednesday meme to participate in (two photo memes over on my other blog aren’t enough I guess for hump day!), to help me get back in the blogging groove. It’s a good thing too because the Back 2 Blogging prompt for the day is “the post title you are most proud of…I guess I will go with the totally off the wall… “Do you have Monkey Butt?” post…..
And thanks to Standards of Excellence, Westar Kitchen and Bath, and Florida Builder Appliances, for sponsoring B2B. One lucky participant will win an awesome washer/dryer.

Now for Random Dozen… I haven’t looked at the questions, so I could be in for a surprise! This meme is hosted by Linda @ 2nd cup of coffee. I don’t know much about her yet, but anyone with a coffee themed blog title is ALL RIGHT with me!
1. Do you do garage sales? If so, tell me about one great find. If not, tell me why not.
I personally don’t do garage sales, but my daughter loves them. I figure I’ve got enough stuff of my own, I don’t need anyone else’s. My daughter (13 years old) also LOVES thrift stores. One of the favorite things for her group of friends to do this summer was to walk to the shopping center and hit Goodwill… she got some great jeans and shoes for next to nothing!
2. Name the last thing you fixed.
Hmmm, the last thing I really fixed? I’m not a fixer – but I did put a new bulb in the tail light of my car all by myself. I guess that is fixing?
3. Name your A) Favorite item of makeup OR B) Favorite tool
A) My favorite item of makeup???? Wow, I don’t know, I work in the cosmetic section of Walgreens and there are so many products I want to try….. I guess one of the things that I like the best (but don’t have right now) is the Primer from Smashbox. I’ve tried other “drug store” brands but they don’t compare.
4. Which room in your home needs organizing more than any other?
My bedroom, it is the room where everything that does not have a home winds up!
5. Which room could use re-decorating?
I would like to re-decorate Tara’s room, we live in an apartment so what we can do is limited. We have been gathering pieces for the room, just need a few more things so we can execute the plan she has.
6. Share something unique about your town. I don’t know how unique it, but it is all I can think of!
We have a Kugel Ball.
7. If you could send a one-sentence message to your great-grandchild, what would it be?
(I realized this morning that I had not answered this one last night…..)
I’m going with Dr Seuss’ quote, a fav of mine…
You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself, any direction you choose.
8. Do you Facebook?
Why, yes, yes I do…. some would say too much. Many times something will happen around the house, and I will hear – DON’T put that on FB!
9. Describe your favorite shoes.
Flip flops…… any flip flops.
10. Do you listen to more talk radio or more music radio? What kind of station is it?
When we lived in Orlando, and I spent time every day in car line to pick Tara up from school I listened to talk radio – They have some really great talk radio personalities in that town. One of the things I miss – although I can listen to it on I Heart Radio, etc. It is just not the same. Now we listen to the I guess it would be “pop rock” station. Q102 Philly. Sometimes when I remember I switch to the classic rock station.
11. How far would you travel for a really good (favorite) meal?
Probably 2 hours… I don’t know, can’t think of any meal that has ever blown me away that much though. I’ve been known to pick up and drive what some would think are long distances for a day trip. I like to drive and I like adventures.
12. If you were totally honest with yourself (and us) what should you probably be doing right now instead of blogging?
Right now? Sleeping, or at least relaxing. It is 11:56pm. I got home from work about and hour ago. Tonight is one of those nights that although I am tired, I am also really wound up! So, I found this awesome new meme to participate in!!!!!
A cup of coffee shared with a friend is happiness!
