Friday Fragments and Follow Friday Fill in

Mrs 4444 hosts Friday Fragments each week.  Stop by and check it out!
Mommy's Idea
It’s been awhile since I fragmented!  I have good intentions every week, but once Wednesday gets here, I find little time to sit at the laptop and blog.  I find myself checking in via my iPhone to several social media apps – Facebook, Twitter, Whrrl and my new favorite GetGlue.  This is done in a hurry, and is really disjointed and fragmented!

Things  have improved with Tara. She is now 14 and 2 weeks, and we have had minimal drama or school attendance issues.  I have compromised and whenever I can, I drive her to school and pick her up (on the days I don’t work).  This seems to help for whatever reason.  The school bus driver has set some new rules, separating the grades -7th, 8th and 9th – boys and girls, which makes the seat options limited by the time the bus gets here.  Part of the fun of riding the bus is sitting with a friend….

I think we are finally in store for a beautiful day today – I will be spending it inside from 8-4, but at least the sun will be shining.  Princess and I took a quick little walk this morning, I was actually comfortable with just my t-shirt on.  She loved the walk.  During the cold winter months we pretty much go about her morning business right out back – no walk really involved.

My mom cooked a great corned beef and cabbage yesterday for dinner.  I love it for St Patrick’s Day, but since I had not thought to buy one, I figured we would pass this year.  I was pleasantly surprised to walk in and smell the cabbage.  I ♥ cooked cabbage!

There have got to be a million other things I could fragment about, but I guess the coffee hasn’t kicked it!  I have 11 minutes until I need to head to the kitchen and prepare Tara’s favorite (right now) breakfast.  Polenta and scrambled eggs… yes, the girl loves polenta.  I slice it and pan “fry” it and melt some cheese on it.

Follow Friday Four Fill-in Fun Blog Hop – 3-18-11

Welcome to the 4th weekly Follow Friday Four Fill-in Fun Blog Hop

Each week, Hillary of Feeling Beechie, posts four statements with a blank for us to fill in and post on our blogs.

This week’s co-host is Jen from What Would Jen Do. She submitted the last two statements:

This week’s statements:

1. I have got to be the worst artist (drawing) in the world.

2. Although for the most part I love it, sometimes I wish I could just get rid of my ? Wow, now that is a tough one… I downsized so much when we moved from Florida, I really don’t have much of anything that I don’t want.

3. The best thing about where I live is the diverstiy of things to do… we are close to NY, Philly, Wash DC and Baltimore, the mountains and the ocean.  All within 3 hrs drive.  (Now getting to all those places are another story!)

4. Aside from a new house, car or big vacation, the first luxury I would buy myself if I won the lottery is an awesome new camera and all the fabulous lenses I could find!

Thanks A-Latte for stopping by!

  1. Loved reading your fragments, that's the way my brain works too at times! Teens are fun aren't they? My oldest will turn 18 on Sunday, then I have a 14 and 11 year old . . .I'm going to go get some coffee now. Thanks for the post. We to live in a great area – NC puts us between DC and Atlanta. The beach and the mountains.

  2. Love your blog!!!! I bet my husband would buy a new camera too, he is an amateur photographer.I am your newest follower from the Friday blog hop and would love it if you could follow me back!!!Have a very Happy Friday!Hopehttp://www.peanutbutterandhopey.com

  3. Getting time to blog is increasingly difficult, so I really understand. It's nice to hear the improvements with Tara, as I've been down that road before. Although I never heard of them separating kids by grade on a schoolbus. Now that's different.Yeah, I would get a camera too.

  4. Thanks so much for joining the Friday Fill in! I am following you back!I used to be a good artist (drawer) when I was young, now, I can barely do stick figures!

  5. Hello friend in Pa. I did not buy the cabbage this year either (hubby does not like it) and nobody cooked it for me (yet).I cannot believe we may have snow tonight; I want Friday back now please…Hope your week gets off to a great start:)I am participating in the A-Z challenge also…should be interesting!

  6. I'm glad Tara is not being so much of a handful. That school bus driver sure has some odd rules. A bit of power going to their heads? We do live in a place that is just a short way from just about anything anyone could ask for! I hope you get out there with your camera some more! You take some awesome pics.
