Head over and join in the fun!
Day 12 – Something you are OCD about.
Today’s prompt is the hardest of all for me. I honestly do not know of anything I am OCD about. Well, unless my need for COFFEE is considered OCD?
A quick day trip to Philly.

CallMeCate hosts Six Word Saturday. Stop by and visit!
It is so nice that is is Saturday and I still have three full days off from work. Even though a job is not overly stressful or demanding, one still needs an occasional break.
Yesterday I crossed another thing off my list from here, I drove into Philly. I changed my destination more than once on the drive. I wound up in Center City. In search of Love Park. I mean, I really didn’t need to search for it, I knew right where it was, I had just never taken the time to park and take a walk!
My first stop was the bank, to request a new debit card. Mine had broken in half a week or so ago, still useable at most places, so I procrastinated, as I did not want to be without one at all while I waited for the new card to arrive. What to my SURPRISE, they game me a new “temporary” card. Now I just have to figure out which recurring payments are linked to the card and not my checking account!
Then I headed across the street to Dunkin Donuts for iced coffee and a bagel.

Iced Coffee in Hand, I headed down the road. Once you see the Amtrak building you know your are almost there. I would not want to be the people working on top of THAT building.
Once you see Billy on top of City Hall you know you are in Philly!

I found a parking garage, and hoped that I would find my car when I was done!

I think they painted the concourse to the street and public transportation pretty so you might not notice the SMELL of stale urine. Remind me next time to bring some vanilla or something to sniff. I could not get the smell out of my nose!

I love the energy of the city, but sometimes it is a bit overwhelming. this was the first time that I hit the streets alone.
There are tall buildings, statues and sculptures all around.

Aside from Billy Penn, Liberty Bell and Rocky statue, this is probably one of the most recognizable scultpures in the city, and you know, I never had taken the time to get up close to it! It is found in Love Park.

One I had that shot (take over the heads of many tourists) I decided it was time to find my way back to my car and head home.
The rest of the day went down hill from there, but all in all not a bad Day #2!

I’ve been to Philadelphia only once and it was over 10 years ago. I remember almost nothing
Great pics!
Hope you had fun in Philly and I’m doing the 30 days about me too…although I’m a few days behind…haha…(Found your blog from Six Word Saturday)
Looks like a fun day! I love Philly! There is always so much to do there.
James and I went to the top of the city hall building. It’s definitely worth it. The view is amazing!
I need to take the kids to Philly before school starts. They’ve done the museums but it looks awesome to just walk around! OH and I am OCD about the towels lining up in the linen closet. The rest of the shelves can be utter chaos, but the towels must be lined up right LOL! Great Blog!

a trip to
philly …sounds like fun!
I don’t think a need for coffee falls under OCD unless you are super particular about your coffee!
Next to take a picture of Rocky at the Art Museum!
I’ve never been to Love Park… can’t you tell I’m a native?
