About As Random As You Get

I’m really late with Random Thoughts Tuesday! I tried this morning, but I was in a lot of pain with a bad ankle acting up, and the post I did start wound up not being random at all, but about our day in NYC on Saturday (you can read about that here(after midnight!) I’m so random, I’m sharing random photos from this past week in the post too!

I hope are beloved hostess has an awesome vacation on the West Coast. I can’t wait to hear her stories. Two Adults, Two Cars, Two Kids, Two Dogs….

I’m not sure what I did to my foot (except drop a Maybelline display on it yesterday, but that was not where the pain was) but my ankle was killing me. I was in agony putting any weight on it at all! I gimped my way to let the dog out, make my coffee and get myself ready for work. I hobbled across the parking lot into the store, and cringed with every step I took. Slowly, as the day wore on, the pain lessened! Strangest thing!

It is Tuesday night, and school has now been for almost a full week. I have had extra teenagers sleeping in my house 4 out of 6 nights. Thankfully, tonight it is just our family! Tara’s friends really are not much trouble, unlike some teenagers, they really don’t even eat much. They spent most of the time in Tara’s room. It is just different when there are other people in the house! Tara is really tired. She is on people interaction over load I think!

The weather is turning really hot again tomorrow. I broke down and turned the AC on this evening. I figure if I get the house cooled down before it gets hot it won’t have to work as hard! I was hoping to make it until 7/1 without having used the A/C, but tomorrow just sounds like it will be way uncomfortable. I will be at work, but Mom, Tara and the pets will be at home!

I am looking forward to a few more days off coming up – Friday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. EVERY one wanted Saturday off, so I agreed to go in. After that I have a few more days pff coming up the week after 4th of July. In retail when you are regularly scheduled off only one day “in a row, it doesn’t feel like you ever get away from it. I decided this summer I was going to spread my vacation days over a few weeks. Once October gets here, it is difficult to take vacation with inventory and getting ready for the holidays! We’ve already got back to school stuff in the warehouse and Halloween candy is due to arrive in a couple weeks!
