Oh What A Beautiful Morning!

Today is the last day of my most recent three day weekend! It has been nice. Tara was occupied most of the time with her friend, so the pressure was off for me to entertain her the entire three days!

My car was in the shop yesterday. All is well, and the cost not as bad as I had anticipated. I procrastinated badly, in fact for the first time ever, I drove with an expired inspection sticker. Yes, I was breaking the law – LOL!  I stressed and lost sleep over it. I just did not have the kind of cash on hand that I anticipated the repairs might cost. Then I found a garage who allows payments. George Milko of Hatfield is my hero!  One of the few things that I don’t like caring for as a single woman is car stuff! I feel like an idiot if something is wrong and I don’t realize it. I can put gas and oil in the car, I can even change a burned out turn signal bulb, but after that, I’m pretty useless!

After we picked up the car, as directed by George, Tara and I went for an evening drive. A sensor that was replaced needs to run through a cycle to make sure that all is function properly. This is accomplished by driving around town and a few miles of highway driving! Tara is always up for a drive, so we headed to Nockamixon State Park, to see what we could see! There is a lake with fishing and boating and lots of great hiking. It was a beautiful evening to be outside.

I saw these little cuties! There were 8 or 9 of them, and Momma Duck came around the bend when she realized I was near. They all swam in her direction!

We came home for a relaxing evening. I watched a crazy movie on FX OnDemand – The Ruins. Not something I would normally watch, but once I started, I had to finish! We’ve watched a few good movies this week. Gone, This Means War, Friends with Benefits and Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close.

This morning has been very productive. I woke at 5:30am feeling rested and ready to get up. I gathered laundry and have done two loads this morning. I straightened up the kitchen and bathroom and mopped the kitchen floor I also prepared some vegetarian chili for Tara, all by 8am!

It is a beautiful morning, only 61°, with a forecasted high of 75°. It just may be too beautiful to stay inside! Looks like temps will be on the rise again the rest of the week. Hopefully Tara won’t sleep the day away. I don’t know what time she fell asleep.

Do you realize July 4th is only 8 days away? Where the heck is summer going? My Mom will be 88 on July 4th. I am working, so we will have to do something another day to celebrate. She prefers quiet celebrations!

I spent some time at my niece’s yesterday morning. I really enjoyed it. We had some rough times this past year, but we’ve been able to move past it. Our issues came from two mother’s doing what they felt was the right thing for their children with the information they had available at the time.  This is Chloe the Basset Hound. She is such a sweetie!

Tara and her friend Viki saw Brave on Sunday. They really liked it. I will have to see it once it hits DVD! I miss those times when Tara was younger and we were at the movies every week.

Well, I’m out of randomness. I need to get up from here and do a few more things around the house so we can go out and play guilt free!

Thanks A-LATTE for stopping by!
